Outside the Duchy of Cornwall few people really appreciate that historically Cornwall was a Celtic nation in its own right, until, that is, the evil English craftily assimilated it into their ownership.
For this reason the Cornish proudly proclaim their 'independence' through their own language ('Kernewek'), their traditional music and dance, the 'Gorseth Kernow' and many feast days and special events.
With so much happening throughout the county it would be quite impossible to list everything, so we offer some links on the right covering the main events.
