With Cornwall's warmer climate there are surfers and sailors on the water all year round.
With acres of golden sand along this part of the north coast, surfing, body boarding and kiting are enormously popular with experienced surfers and visitors alike. When the swell is up there are high quality, hollow waves good enough for international competitions, yet with lifeguard cover during the season there is ample opportunity for beginners and youngsters to learn in safety.
Both power and sailing boats are available for hire at several venues, with or without a skipper. Why not improve your skills with RYA courses for yachting weekends, cruising, one day, theory, radar, first aid, sea survival and yachtmaster qualifications. Whatever your ability there are approved sailing courses for beginners, intermediate and advanced levels.
